KARACHI - Renowned Sanakhwan Farhan Ali Waris narrowly escaped an attack near Tin Hatti in limits of Jamshaid Quarter Police Station here yesterday.

Farhan Ali a close aide of slain sufi singer Amjad Sabri was passing through Jahangir Road when gunmen ridding a motorbike intercepted him and opened fire on his car. Farhan’s guards retaliated timely. Armed assailants managed to flee. However, Farhan and his guards remained unhurt in attack.

It’s worth mentioning here that Farhan used to conduct the same transmission at a private television channel. Farhan Ali is a known Nohakhwan associated with Shia community. Police were of the view that dacoits tried to rob them but managed to flee when guards reacted.
