KARACHI : Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has condemned the government for creating obstacles in landing of the plane carrying Dr Tahirul Qadri in Islamabad and diverting it to Lahore airport.
In a statement issued on Monday he said: “It is the political and democratic right of the workers of a political party to receive their leader.”
Today when thousands of PAT workers reached Islamabad airport to receive Qadri, the government sealed the airport. “The way obstacles were created in the way of PAT workers and the teargas shelling is highly condemnable.” Altaf said the government should show sagacity and stop victimisation of Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers.
