KARACHI – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Wednesday demanded the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice of the killings of innocent citizens and losses to public properties by certain “evil” forces who want to divide Sindh on ethnic grounds.Interacting with the media at the Karachi Press Club, PTI’s Arif Alvi said the government, its allies and the PML-N were equally responsible for Tuesday’s deadly attack and the loss of precious lives. Alvi alleged that they were trying to take political benefits from the brewing law and order situation in Lyari. “PML-N’s intervention in the matter of Lyari has added fuel to the already-burning fire in Lyari,” he said. “We cannot believe that the government and its allies were unaware of the rally, when banners were displayed everywhere in the city. We also cannot understand when a rally demanding for the “Mohajir” province can comfortably go into the Red Zone and stays there for hours, then how an anti-Mohajir province rally is attacked far away from the Red Zone and Press Club.” He said the government was least interested and was incapable to solve the problems of the citizens sensibly, nor could it ensure public safety and security. “In this country where we have a joint family system when a bread winner is killed it results in an eventual death of entire family.” Alvi also said on the issue of division of the provinces PML-N had yet again played the role of opportunists whose entire focus it to prolong its rule. It is on record there and also there are evidences available against Shahbaz Sharif who seeks division of the Sindh and support Mohajir province cause in a Hippocratic way. “We understand such people of double standards, master of hypocrisy and champion of dirty political acting can never be sincere to the country because they worship only to their vested interests. The PML-N is equally responsible for financial loss to city in addition to deaths and injuries of the citizens of the Karachi. We disclose this ironic fact that people of the Karachi are migrating to the other cities while business community is shifting their businesses to the other countries.”“The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf condemns upsurge in frequency of target killing, attack on innocent people and damage to the infrastructure and vehicle of the people. Those who are sitting in Punjab and have started Hippocratic intervention in Sindh should first win the confidence of the people who want to get rid from them in Punjab. PML-N has lost the creditability in Punjab due to their corruption and lawlessness.” “The PTI understands that PMLN is an unwanted failed party and PTI will not let it and others play with lives, properties, peace and stability of the Sindh. We demand for an Arm Free Karachi as well as punishment of the criminals across the board without any leniency for any person or political party. Law enforcement agencies should bring criminal before the media,” Alvi concluded.
