Karachi- Sindh Rangers came out strongly against demands for release of MQM workers today.
A spokesman of the Sindh Rangers said that those miscreants involved in firing on Rangers personnel could not be set free. He said that those arrested overnight were involved in firing on Rangers, adding investigations are currently underway with 15 arrested men.
The statement came as MQM is staging sit-ins across Karachi to protest against arrest of its party workers. Tension gripped Karachi as many businesses, shops and schools closed down.
