KARACHI  - Sindh Inspector General Police Fayyaz Ahmed Laghari Monday took a serious notice of media reports about frequent traffic jams in Karachi.
He directed the Additional IG Karachi and Additional IG Traffic to take steps to ensure smooth traffic flow, as well as, security and safety of road users. He said in case of any traffic jam urgent steps should be taken to divert traffic to alternate routes. He said motorcycle squads of nearest police station should intervene urgently to keep the blocked roads open.
He also sought a detailed report about the deployment of police officers and implementation on previous orders.
