Karachi- Residents of Karachi spent yet another sleepless Friday night without power twisting and turning in their beds as the city suffered second major breakdown within 24 hours.
Earlier, the port city had plunged into darkness a little after midnight on Thursday owing to multiple grid stations of the K-Electric (previously KESC) going offline and the same was restored yesterday evening after 12 hours of long breakdown. Much to the misfortune of the people yet another major breakdown occurred after a light rain just after Iftar on Friday night throwing the city in pitch darkness and forcing the people to arrange their sehri in candle light notwithstanding the suffocating hot and humid weather.
