KARACHI – Prof Dr Rana Qamar Masood of the Dow University of Health Sciences has been honoured with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the president of Pakistan.
Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad conferred the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz at the Governor’s House on Qamar Masood for his services.  On the other hand, the university would hold a "Professional Excellence Award" presentation ceremony to honour senior neurologist Dr Akhtar Ahmed on Tuesday (today).

Dr Akhtar, former professor of neurology at Dow Medical College and Civil Hospital, is one of the senior-most neurologists in the country. Besides being a respected teacher for many of medical graduates as well as neurologists in the country he has also earned international recognition for his research works.
