Altaf demands Army for Karachi

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has demanded of PM Nawaz Sharif to hand over administrative affairs of Karachi to army in order to root out violence.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday from London, he said “The Sindh government has completely failed in protecting citizens especially the trader community from gang-war Lyari elements, extortionists and terrorist of Lyari”.
He said the The police, law-enforcement agencies, Sindh government and city administration of Karachi seems non-existent in violence-hit areas of Karachi despite loss of lives and public properties,” Altaf said.
He said that the PM should issue directives for handing over administrative affairs of the city to military to ensure the protection of traders.
