KARACHI – Karachi Metropolitan Corporation employees union has demand payment of salaries soon saying that due to the non-payment, the workers were facing serious financial problems in Ramazan.
KMC CBA Workers Union said, a number of employees working in education, medical, parks and horticulture and other departments have not been paid their monthly wages of June due to inefficiency of Sindh Finance Department
The union leaders said the provincial finance department has not yet released the grant to KMC that has halted the entire process of salary disbursement. They said workers were being forced to take to streets to voice their concerns.
The CBA leaders warned that workers’ protest would severely affect cleanliness work in the City and create law and order problem and Sindh Finance Department would solely be responsible for the whole situation.
