He also urged fortifying the efficient performance of education and health departments.
Meanwhile, Bilawal on Friday condemned what he called the ‘highhandedness’ of Punjab administration of ‘snatching’ the mandate of PPP in South Punjab. He warned the PML-N that options would be open if PPP’s mandate was not accepted.
The PPP chairman was talking over telephone to Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood, president PPP South Punjab. Mehmood complained that police, administration and Punjab government have launched a revenge campaign against the party chairmen and other elected local government representatives.
“The Punjab regime is forcing our elected chairmen and councilors to resign in a bid to deprive PPP of its majority in the local councils,” Makhdoom informed Bilawal. “Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took strong notice of the intimidation and exhorted the workers and leaders to stand up against the PML-N’s tactics,” the statement said.
