KARACHI - All preparations have been completed for the annual Convocation of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) being held on March 31 at Expo Centre. About 1,000 graduating students of the university would receive their degrees in the engineering disciplines of Computer, Electronics, Civil, Bio-Medical and Telecom besides Computer Science.
Starting with only 200 students in 1994.the university today has now more than 5600 students. Since 1998, when its first convention was held, the university has given around 9820 graduate engineers to the nation.
Meanwhile, final touches were given to the convocation arrangements at a review meeting held under the chairmanship of Chancellor ZA Nizami and attended, among others, by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Saiyid Nazir Ahmed, Deans of Engineering, Chairmen of respective departments, Registrar Shah Mahmood Hussain Syed and other concerned officials.
