Two ‘TTP’ men gunned down

Two alleged operatives of ‘Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’ were gunned down in an operation at Kanwari Colony in Pirabad Police limits on Thursday.
Law-enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and conducted door-to-door search. Meanwhile, two gunmen resorted to firing which drew retaliation from police and rangers personnel.
Two terrorists identified as Akhtar Ali Khan and Usman aka Kala Dhaka were killed on the spot. Police said their names were also included in the Red-Book of high profile terrorists.
On the other side, three cops were wounded in a grenade attacked near Baloch Colony Bridge within the remits of Tipu Sultan Police Station. According to details, unidentified assailants riding on motorbike hurled a hand-grenade injuring three cops namely Sub Inspector Muhammad Nawaz, Constable Ejaz and Khalid Shabir. They were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Following the incident, extra contingent of law enforcers reached on the spot and cordon-off the area.
