MQM London opens head office in Liaquatabad

KARACHI - Scores of the workers and supporters associated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement founder Altaf Hussain opened Central office of the party at Al-Karam Square, Liaquatabad here on Sunday.

According to the details, a large number of the supporters affiliated with MQM London gathered at Al-Karam Square Parking area and opened party central office. Charged mob chanting slogans in favour of the MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and also chanted slogans against the MQM Pakistan leadership.

It’s worth mentioning here that historically, it was the first MQM office known as “89” Markaz, established in early 1980s and later shifted to Altaf Hussain’s residence called ‘90’. Sources privy to the matter revealed that the MQM leadership including Professor Hassan Zafar, Kanwar Khalid Younas, Dr Amjad were rushed Karachi Press Club for the announcement of office opening when rangers arrested them and sent them jail under maintenance of Public Order for 30 days.  

Moreover, Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan has decided to hold intra party elections on October 31 today at its makeshift headquarters at PIB Colony.

As per details, the election for members and In-charge of Coordination Committee and Central executive committee would be held through voting process.

The process would be supervised by Hameed uz Zafar along with members Hanif Surti and Kamran Nizami. The voting process would continue from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and circulars were being dispatched to the in-charges and workers for participation in the process.
