KARACHI - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Arif Alvi has said that people of Karachi are ready to combat corruption in the country while today’s rally is enough to prove that Karachiites stands shoulder to shoulder with PTI chairman Imran Khan against the corrupt regime ruling Pakistan.

He expressed these views while addressing participants of the PTI Rally at VIP gate of Quaid-e-Azam Mausoleum yesterday. PTI workers, supporter and leaders including Firdous Naqvi, Khurram Sher Zaman, Abdul Aziz Khan, Dawa Khan Sabir and others were also present on the occasion.

PTI Karachi chapters along with the workers and supporters took out the anti-government rally from Insaf House Karachi and after passing through the various key roads of the city reached Quaid-e-Azam Mausoleum. They were carrying party flags and Imran Khan‘s portraits while chanted slogans “Go Nawaz Go”, “Nawaz should resign” and others.

The participation of larger number of people has given a clear message that people of Karachi wants eradication of corrupt said Alvi and warned that PTI will block Super Highway, National highway and Hub river road if government arrest Imran Khan on November 2 sit-in in federal capital.

Alvi further said during the last three day entire nation has witnessed difference between democracy and dictatorship. PTI did not created any hurdle in Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif public gathering in KPK but it is unfortunate that the rulers with revenge strategy were arresting innocent workers of in Punjab and federal capital. We condemn this act and demand immediate release of workers, he added.

PTI is justified in demanding the accountability of the corrupt elements said Firdous while addressing the participants. He said that rulers were violating the Supreme Courts verdicts and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is still not coming forward to present himself for accountability regarding the Panama Leaks issue. It is now time that the nation rises against corrupt rulers and rid the country from them, he added.

He further directed the workers to get ready for the PTI‘s November 2 sit in and keeping in view the situation party Karachi chapter will announce its future strategy.

PTI leaders Khurram Sher Zaman and other also spoke on the occasion and thanked the people of the Karachi for participating in the rally staged against the corrupt rulers.
