LAHORE–The Punjab Government Senior Pensioners Association on Saturday lauded seven percent increase in the pension besides the payment of arrears along with increment in three instalments.
The association’s meeting presided by Chaudhry Muhammad Hafeez-ul-Allah praised the issuance of a notification regarding increase in pension and its payment schedule by Punjab Finance Department on directions of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.According to a release issued by Information Secretary Qazi Zafar-ul-Allah Khan, the association expected 100 percent increase in pension of seniors pensioners in next budget by the federal government. The pensioners said that 100 percent increase was their genuine demand for solving their problems in this era of price hike.
