WCLA launches rickshaw tourism

LAHORE - The Walled City Lahore Authority has launched rickshaw tourism in the city and these colourful rickshaws will be provided for facilitating the tourists.
In a press statement issued by Walled City Lahore Authority (WCLA) on Tuesday, WCLA Director General Kamran Lashari said that the authority is committed for development and restoration of historical monuments in the Walled City and also is promoting tourism.
For the purpose of promotion of tourism such unique designed rickshaws have been introduced so that the tourists from across the world could be facilitated properly and they could enjoy their tour of Walled City and historical buildings situated in it.
Director Marketing Asif Zaheer said in this regard that main objective of introduction of such decorated colourful rickshaws, prepared traditionally is to portray old Tonga culture which almost have obsolete now. These rickshaws would also attract the tourists and would help in introduction of new culture.
