LAHORE: An eight-year-old girl was found murdered after being raped in Nawab Town, police sources said Thursday.
Investigators said that the girl, yet to be identified, was lying dead in the mango orchard at Raiwind Road as they reached the spot. Some passersby spotted the body and contacted the police by phone. Police officials said they believe the killer(s) assaulted the girl, strangled her, and then fled after throwing her body in the orchard. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy. Police have launched the probe to unearth the criminals involved in the blind murder. A case has also been registered against unidentified killers.–Staff Reporter
