Arifa makes hat-trick in gold medals

LAHORE (PR) Journalist, writer and poetess Arifa Sobh Khan has set a hat-trick record by achieving consecutive three gold medals in an year. Idara Farogh-e-Taleem Punjab had presented third gold medal and shield to Arifa Sobh Khan the other day for her best services for the promotion of education and literature. This ceremony was organised by chairman Idara Farogh-e-Taleem Punjab Tayyab Virk. Former federal minister Begum Tehmina Daultana adorned her with gold medal while Punjab CMs advisor Zakiya Shahnawaz presented her shield. Arifa Sobh Khan has been selected for the third time in an year by Idara Farogh-e-Taleem Punjab. First gold medal was presented to her on March 8, 2011, second on June 11, 2011 and third time it was presented on Nov 28, 2011. Arifa is the only Pakistani female journalist, who has on her credit 21 awards, four shields and four gold medals. The Writers Guild and Azeem Ara Foundation had also bestowed her with gold medal this year for the recognition of her services in the education field. On this way Arifa has set a record in education and journalism.Arifa has also the credit to have an award as humourist. She is also the writer of 10 renowned books.
