Edu sans ideology to endanger Pakistan's existence: Nizami

LAHORE - Chairman Nazria-e-Pakistan Trust Majid Nizami has said if the new generation is not educated about the Pakistan Ideology, this will damage the very entity of Pakistan. He was addressing the 17th Ideological Training Workshop of principals, senior headmasters, and teachers of schools of Faisalabad and Multan Division here on Friday at the Awan-e-Karkunan-e-Tehreek-e-Pakistan, which was held in collaboration with the Punjab Education Department. Vice-Chairman NPT Dr Rafique Ahmed, Secretary NPT Shahid Rasheed, Secretary Tehreek-e-Pakistan Workers Trust Rafaqat Riaz, Dr Sarfraz Hussain Mirza and Prof MA Soofi were also present on the occasion. Majid Nizami mentioned that he had demanded from Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif that the Ideology of Pakistan should be made part of the education syllabi, and students should be told about the sacrifices rendered for making Pakistan a reality. Besides this, teachers should be made aware of it. If we did not do it, the existence of Pakistan will be endangered since quite a few evil forces of the world are bent upon destroying the country, he maintained, adding NPT intended to educate the new generation that they should remain vigilant about the Hindus. The subject of the Pakistan Ideology should be included in the syllabi and refresher courses should be held for teachers, he suggested. He asked the teachers to impart education about the Ideology so that the students should know that after how many sacrifices were rendered for getting Pakistan. NPT Vice President Dr Rafique Ahmed said through such workshops teachers are guided how to the inform the students about the ideology of Pakistan. He said in the developed countries a great attention is paid to the primary and middle class students. Even Barrack Obama in his first presidential address to the students had instructed to teach them about the history of America, he said, adding a book titled 'One Nation has also been included in the syllabus of American students. He said the Americans are proud of their way of living and impart education to the students about their ideology. He said teaching students about the ideology of Pakistan was of paramount importance to create among them a sense of self confidence. He said Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah are role model for us as all of them were great lovers of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He said Pakistan has great importance owing to its geographical location and good reservoirs of oil, gas and coal which could be exploited for the progress and prosperity of the country. Dr Sarfraz Hussain Mirza while speaking on the occasion said teachers have a vital role in imparting the education about the ideology of Pakistan. He said we should remain aware of the evil designs of Hindus who can never be friends of the Muslims. On this occasion he delivered a detailed lecture on Two-Nation Theory. A question answer session was also held wherein the participants asked thought-provoking question from Majid Nizami. Earlier, NPT Secretary briefed about the purpose of holding the workshop. He said NPT had established five mobile units which visit different educational institutions situated in the City and other districts and educate students about the ideology of Pakistan. He said the mobile units had educated more than 660,000 students belonging to 1100 educational institutes in the last one year.
