NPT renews pledge for prosperous Pakistan

LAHORE - The 17th session of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Board of Governors was held at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan yesterday with the Trust Chairman Muhammad RafiqueTarar in the chair, at which several resolutions mirroring the participants’ aspirations were moved and unanimously carried.

Through one of the resolutions, the participants vehemently condemned the nefarious efforts of India to destabilise Pakistan through its intelligence agency “RAW” and demanded of the government to make an example of the “RAW” agent Kulbhushan Yadav and the other operatives of “RAW” and the Afghan intelligence agency “KHAD” arrested recently in various parts of the country.

Another resolution expressed the great anxiety of the participants over the inhuman violation of the human rights in the Indian-occupied Kashmir and urged the international community to intervene. Still another resolution called upon the government to freeze all kinds of relations with India until it is willing to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

In another resolution, the participants called upon the political leadership to get united and defeat the evil designs of those who are trying to render the CPEC project disputable.

In yet another resolution, the participants urged the Government to get rid of the internal and foreign debts and attain self-sufficiency through comprehensive planning.

Another resolution expressed the participants’ satisfaction and delight at the manufacture of the new version of JF-17 Thunder by China and Pakistan, which will add to the strength of Pakistan’s defence. One of the resolutions condemned the persecution of the Muslims and other communities by the extremist Hindu parties and urged the Government to adopt ways and means to put an end to the water aggression of India.

Another resolution applauded the determination of the Government to eliminate the evil of terrorism once and for all. Through another resolution, the participants expressed their solidarity with the families and friends of those who have laid down their lives in the war against terrorism.

Another resolution called for implementing a uniform curriculum and education system, so that the gulf between different starta of society may be curtailed. Another resolution conveyed the participants’ sincere gratitude to the Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif for his special interest and practical aid and assistance in the completion of the Aiwan-i-Qauid-i-Azam.

Through another resolution, the participants registered their vehement condemnation of the vengeful proceedings initiated by the pro-Indian Bangladeshi Government of Sheikh Haseena Wajid against the supporters of a United Pakistan, especially the octogenarian leaders and workers of the Jama’at-i-Islami for their participation in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The government of Pakistan was urged to stem the blood-thirstiness of Sheikh Haseena Wajid through the good offices of the Organization of Islamic Countries, and adopt ways and means to oblige the Bangladeshi Government to adhere to the tripartite agreement clinched among Pakistan, Bangladesh and India on April 9, 1974.

The participants urged the Government through another resolution to clamp a strict ban on the exhibition of vulgar Indian movies in the Pakistani cinema houses and the Indian teleplays broadcast on different TV channels in order to protect our new generation from the deadly effects of the Hindu culture.

Through yet another resolution, the participants called upon the government to incorporate the ideology of Pakistan and the life and achievements of the veteran leaders of the Pakistan Movement in the curriculum, so that the students may be acquainted with our glorious past and our venerable forefathers.

Yet another resolution brought out the desirability of improving the lot of women and provide them with equal opportunities to forge ahead in national life. Still another resolution stressed the need for protecting the natural environment of Pakistan and for providing the common man with clean drinking water.
