LAHORE  - The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has finalised its arrangements regarding Muharramul Haram especially during Ashura to maintain cleanliness in and around mourning processions and routes of processions.
Six model camps have been set up at sensitive locations of processions at Data Ganj Bakhsh Town and Allama Iqbal Town for effective coordination and facilitation of operational activities. Moreover, mechanical sweeping of major routes and mechanical washing of Imam Bargahs have been completed.
Senior Manager Operations Suhail Anwar Malik and Manager Communication Jamil Khawar along with other officers paid visit to model camps to review arrangements. Along with mobilisation teams, they also participated in door to door awareness campaign in the area and distributed waste bags and information pamphlets among attendees of mourning sessions. Terming the initiative remarkable, Khawaja Basharat Hussain, Administrator Nisaar Haveli appreciated LWMC measures and thanked Managing Director Khalid Majeed for arrangements.
