LAHORE The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has asked the management of all the 14 participants of Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) 2009 to make videos of their home matches and provide it to the match commissioner after the completion of matches. In order to analyse the incidents during the matches, as well as displays of teams, referees whistle and other on and off the field episode, the PFF had asked the top 14 teams to DVDs of their home matches, said PFFs Director Operation Wing Commander (retd) Pervaiz Saeed Mir who added that all the teams coaching staff will also get benefit from the DVD as far as coaching system is concerned as they will assess the performance of their first choice players and substitutes. The video maker/cameraman had to be very active and he should be briefed to not only cover the whole action of the match but he should also caught the technical officials, referees, team benches, sitting arrangements of spectators, Security personnel and other facilities available on the ground like kit room, media gallery, scoreboard, availability of medical bench, stretcher, ambulance and ball boys in his camera, said PFFs Secretary General Lt.Col (r) Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi. Portugal striker Joao Pinto was suspended for four month by FIFAs disciplinary committee over his 2002 World Cup sending off against South Korea for punching Argentine Referee Angel Sanchez in the stomach. The punch was not clearly visible, but a FIFA video camera has recorded the action that shed new light on the incident. Eight years previously, Italian defender Mauro Tassotti suffered eight-match bam for use of the elbow in USA World Cup quarter-final against Spain. Video evidence helped FIFA in proving Tassotti broke striker Luis Enriques nose in an off-the-ball incident at the end of the game at Boston. The DVD will help PFF in resolving several issues that occurred during a match and it will also help both the teams in order to plan their future strategy. Failure to provide DVD of the match, PFF deserves rights to deprive the host team match bonus and the case will be referred to PFF Disciplinary Committee for further action, concluded Lodhi. PPFL, most precious event of PFF calendar, will resume on Friday, 2 October with two matches : Nushki Baloch FC v PIA (Nushki Stadium, Nushki) and Afghan FC v KESC (Govt High School, Chaman).
