LAHORE – The Punjab University has awarded an honorary PhD degree to Nawa-i-Waqt Group Managing Director and TheNation Editor-in-Chief Majid Nizami in recognition of his services in the field of journalism and for protection of Pakistan’s ideology.
A ceremony in this regard will be held on Monday (today) at the Centre for Undergraduate Studies, New Campus. Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, senior faculty, employees, students and people from different walks of life will participate in the event. This is the first time that the prestigious institution has awarded PhD degree to a journalist.
