LAHORE - Young Doctors Association (YDA) Punjab has announced blocking Ferozepur Road outside Lahore General Hospital on Wednesday (tomorrow) to press their demand of restoration of doctors suspended for alleged negligence in treatment of a patient. YDA was on strike at OPD of LGH for the last 16 days in protest against suspension of doctors.
Addressing a press conference at Children’s Hospital on Monday, YDA office bearers Dr Ajmal Ch, Dr Amer Bandesha, Dr Al Tamash, Dr Khurram and others demanded impartial probe of the incident. They said that the committee that held doctors responsible was biased. They said that the DG Health had promised holding impartial probe five days back but it had not happened as yet.
They also announced to take the protest to other hospitals if the doctors were not restored.
