Hazrat Ali Hajveri’s Urs begins

LAHORE - Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs Senator Ishaq Dar inaugurated 972nd Urs of Hazrat Ali Hajveri commonly known as Hazrat Data Gunj Bukhsh (RA) by performing Chadar Poshi (covering with a sheet) and laying wreath on the grave of the saint yesterday.
The minister who is also Chairman Religious Affairs Committee Data Darbar later inaugurated sabeel of milk.
Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Atta Mohammad Manika, Minister for Food Bilal Yasin, MNA Pervaiz Malik, Director General Auqaf Tahir Raza Bokhari, Nazim-e-Ala Auqaf Nayyar Iqbal and notables participate in the ceremony.
The celebrations started with recitation from Holy Quran and Naat. Dua was offered for the solidarity and security of the country and success of operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Later, Ishaq Dar inaugurated language and computer laboratory at Jamia Hajveria. He announced a grant of Rs7 million for the language and computer lab.
In a briefing, the minister was told that beautiful combination of old and contemporary education was hallmark of Jamia Hajveria. The training of spoken English, Arabic and computer software would be provided in the lab. Courses of computer applications and office professional, computer hardware and network professional and mobile repairing would also be conducted.
Minister for Auqaf said that best arrangements have been made for the devotees. He said foolproof security arrangements have been made for the protection of life and properties of devotees. He said that special care has been taken for providing food to devotees.
