LAHORE (PR) A spokesman of the Health Department, Punjab, while clarifying the actual situation regarding a news report published in a section of the press. has said that in order to settle disputes pending before the Honourable Lahore High Court for adjudication, the Health Department submitted a comprehensive summary to the Competent Authority regarding regularization of different categories of doctors working against teaching posts on the basis of higher qualification on contract basis since July 22, 2009 or before. The Competent Authority approved the proposal to settle the dispute once for all. The spokesman further added that Health Department submitted the approved proposal before the Honourable High Court to put in motion the process of actualization of the approved proposal. The Court disposed off a number of writ petitions on the subject in view of the approval. The Regulation Wing, Services & General Administration Department, has been approached for the implementation of the approved proposal. There is no violation of merit, the spokesman concluded.
