32,497 rescued in May

LAHORE Director General Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Dr Rizwan Naseer carried out a performance review of Rescue1122 in 35 districts of Punjab to ensure uniform standard of the Service in all districts. The data has revealed that the Service has rescued over 32,497 victims of emergencies while carrying out 32,833 rescue operations during the month of May, while maintaining its average response time of seven minutes. Out of total 32,833 rescue operations, about 6,029 operations were carried in Lahore, 2,593 in Faisalabad, 1,077 in Rawalpindi, 1,533 in Bahawalpur, 2,642 in Multan, 1,206 in Dera Ghazi Khan, 788 in Rahim Yar Khan, 998 in Sahiwal, 1,096 in Sialkot, 2,148 in Gujranwala, 393 in Murree, 1,000 in Sargodha, 938 in Jhang, 488 in Toba Tek Singh, 509 in Muzafargarh, 469 in Rajanpur, 415 in Mianwali, 570 in Pakpattan, 579 in Kasur, 502 in Gujrat, 718 in Bahawalnagar, 302 in Jehlum, 404 in Attock, 553 in Khanewal, 390 in Vehari, 262 in Chakwal, 555 in Okara, 424 in Hafizabad, 574 in Sheikhupura, 690 in Lodhran, 367 in Nankana Sahib, 291 in Khushab, 277 in Mandibaha-ud-din, 358 in Narowal, 320 in Layyah and 375 in Bhakkar. The emergency calls to which Rescue 1122 responded includes 11,888 road traffic accident, 17,356 medical emergencies, 1507 Fire incidents, 84 building collapse incidents, 1,771 crime, 122 drowning incidents, 94 special rescue operations and 11 explosions.
