LAHORE (APP) - CIA Police city division have smashed a gang of criminals and arrested its eight members and recovered cash, cell phones as well as illegal weapons from their possession. The accused have confessed to 19 incidents of dacoity, robbery and other street crimes during preliminary interrogation. SP CIA Muhammad Umar Virk constituted a special team which arrested the culprits from Saddique Pura Graveyard Badami Bagh. The criminals were history-sheeters and 14 cases have also been traced against them in the city. The police have recovered 20 cell phones, Rs 500,000 in cash, five pistols and bullets from their possession. The arrested were identified as Muhammad Afzal, Ijaz Ahmed, Sajjad Ali, Imtiaz Ahmed, Adeeb Munir, Muhammad Aslam, Sohail Shahzad and Zaman.
