LAHORE – Condemning burning of the Holy Quran by a Florida pastor Terry Jones, the participants of International Mushaikh, Ameer-e-Millat Convention have demanded raising the issue from the OIC platform.
Through another resolution, they urged the government to continue restrictions on Nato supplies, demanded withdrawal of the US and Nato troops from the region and giving free hand to Afghans to run affairs of the country. Through various other resolutions, they demanded withdrawal of raise in Haj fares, foolproof security for sijada nasheen of shrines, measures to overcome energy crisis and sincere efforts to stop drone attacks.
Pakistan Mushaikh Council and President Ameer-e-Millat Foundation Chairman Munawar Hussain Jamaati presided over the convention attended by large number of sijada nasheen of shrines from across the country here at Aiwan-e-Iqbal on Tuesday.
Jamaati took oath from the participants to launch ‘Azam-e-Pakistan Mushaikh Movement’. He also announced strategy to participate in the next general elections from a single platform. Five members election committee will devise strategy and submit its report to Pakistan Mushaikh Council within 10 days.
Under Azam-e-Pakistan Movement, public meetings will be organised at district level, International Ameer-e-Milat Conference in London in mid June and International Tajdar-e-Khatam-e-Nabuat Conference in July.
Jamaati said that there was need to rise against oppressive system, defend ideological and geographical boundaries of the country and save it from the nefarious designs of the US. He said that mushaikhs played a key role in independence movement and they would fulfill their responsibility to defend the country. He said that those who opposed Pakistan were now heading banned outfits. He said that their extremist activities tarnished image of Pakistan in the world.
Referring to the ugly act of Terry Jones, he said that anti-Islam elements were gauging reaction of Muslims by committing blasphemy. He stressed upon OIC to raise the issue and demanded Pakistan to expel the US ambassador to convey a strong message to the world. He said that Pakistan Mushaikh Council would launch countrywide protests against burning of the Holy Quran.
He stressed upon rulers to take measures to curb vulgarity and obscenity.
Syed Khursheed Shah said that mushaikh would fight against nefarious designs of Qadianis.
He stressed upon Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of appointment of Qadianis on key posts. Pir Ateeq-ur-Rehman stressed upon unity to fail conspiracies of Qadianis against Islam and Pakistan.
