LAHORE - The residents of Islampura protested against Wasa’s Ravi Road Sub-Division for suspending water supply despite availability of electricity.
The residents gathered outside the Islampura office and chanted slogans against the Wasa authorities. They said they have been facing acute problems due to the suspension of water supply by the agency’s Islampura centre.
They said they had approached the WASA officials to lodge their complaint but in vain. They alleged the WASA staffers are busy running election campaign of the former government.
The protesters demanded the Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Najam Sethi to take action against the officials concerned for their negligence and ensure water supply to the area.
