US ‘droned’ dialogue process: says information minister

Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid Saturday termed Friday drone attack as American strike on dialogue process saying that the government would not allow this process to be killed.
Talking to media person in Lahore, the minister repeated that despite of recent drone attack in North Waziristan, the government is determined to hold talks with Taliban to restore peace in the country.
“I must say this [Friday] drone attack was actually attack on dialogue process with Taliban but we would not allow this process to be killed,” Pervaiz Rashid said.
He said the government would continue its efforts to bring Taliban on negotiation table to restore peace in Pakistan.
“I hope other side [Taliban] would also adopt the way of dialogue,” the minister added.
He said no hurdle in peace dialogue will be acceptable.
Responding a query ‘will Pakistan halt NATO supply after Friday attack’, the minister said that stopping NATO supplies was not solution of the issue, as drone strike were continued when Pakistan had halted these supplies after Salala incident.
He said Islamabad and Washington have different stances over drone strikes inside Pakistan.
