More witnesses summoned in Sawan Masih case

LAHORE - An Additional District and Sessions Court on Tuesday summoned more prosecution witnesses by October 10, in blasphemy accused Sawan Masih case which caused arson of more than 150 houses in Joseph Colony.
As the proceeding started the judge recorded statements of a prosecution witness and summoned other 10 witnesses.   In the previous proceedings held in jail, the judge had framed charges on the accused. Shahid Imran, the complainant stated in FIR that Sawan Masih used derogatory language against the holy Prophet (PBUH), while after being warned Sawan did not restrain.  An FIR was registered against Sawan under section 295/C of PPC in Badami Bagh police Station.
