Lahore - The speakers at an NPT sitting said that the late Ghulam Haider Wyne was a true follower of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
“He (Wayne) established dozens of institutions for the education and training of the new generation with the ultimate goal of the overall welfare and development of the Pakistani nation, they said.
NPT Vice Chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad, Justice (r) Aftab Farrukh, Dr Ajmal Niazi, Muhammad Akram, Muhammad Aslam Zar Advocate, Dr Ghazala Shaheen, Kh Memood Ahmad Advocate, Begum Safia Ishaq, Prof Dr Parveen Khan, Maulana Muhammad Shafi Josh, Aziz Zafar Azad, Muhammad Riaz, Begum Hamid Rana, Maj (r) Siddique Rehan, ManshaQazi, Muhammad Yasin Wattoo, Shehzad Khan and other notables graced the event.
Trust Secretary Shahid Rasheed conducted the proceedings of the special sitting arranged to mark the death anniversary of the former Punjab CM.
Born to a poor family, Wyne rose to the enviable rank of CM hard work, sincerity and selfless services for people, observed Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Muhammad Rafique Tarar in his message on the occasion.
He further observed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has forcefully pleaded the case of oppressed Kashmiri people at the UN General Assembly which has given a new life to the Kashmir cause.
Begum Majida Wyne observed that her late husband had worked day and night to strengthen Pakistan, for which our ancestors had rendered supreme sacrifices.
Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad and Shahid Rasheed also spoke.
