Another dengue case detected in Lahore, toll mounts to 23

Dengue spread threats increased further as the virus was detected in another patient on Sunday raising the total number of patients to 23.
According to details, Muhammad Haneef, 30, hailing from Lahore city visited the hospital for medical checkup as he was suffering from fever for past few days where after medical tests presence of dengue virus was reported in his blood.
It should be mentioned that the number of dengue cases in Punjab detected during this year has reached 23.
About 10 dengue patients were under treatment in Mayo Hospital, three in General Hospital, three in Jinnah Hosptial, two in Services Hospital and two in other hospitals.
Health authorities have warned of dengue virus spread threats in various districts other than Lahore, including Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura and Bahawalpur.
Provincial Health Department has said that all out efforts were being made to minimize the dengue spread. However, citizens also had to cooperate with authorities for the purpose, it added.
