KARAK - One person was killed and two others were injured in two separate incidents here on Friday. As per police sources, in first incident, a labourer of salt mine Asghar Ali, resident of Darga Shaheedan, was killed when the salt mine collapsed at Bahaderkhel and he was recovered by his colleague after hectic efforts from the mine. His body was later handed over to his relatives. In second incident, firing was made on a car in the bus stand of Terri and two persons sustained injuries in the firing. The injured have been identified as Azmatullah, son of Umer Daraz, and Aslam, son of Yaqoob, residents of Terri. The local people rushed the injured to Civil Hospital, Terri, and doctors stated their conditions stable. The injured Azmatullah registered an FIR in Terri police station against three persons Mujahid Aziz, Aamir Aziz and Asif Mahmood residents of Terri. The sources termed the incident a result of old enmity. Meanwhile a taxi driver was looted on gunpoint and some unknown car-lifters also snatched his car from him on Sabirabad Shakarra road. A local eyewitness Sabz Ali told this scribe here on Friday that the driver of the car told him about his saga that some unknown armed persons intercepted him on Karak-Shakardara road in a deserted area, which, he doesnt know, and snatched some Rs 3,000 cash and a motorcar from him. He added that the driver belonged to Punjab and he did not register the FIR of the incident in Sabirabad police station.
