Karate course concludes

LAHORE - A four months karate coaching camp organised by the Pakistan Karate Federation concluded here Tuesday at Queen Mary School and College. The camp was organized as a part of the talent hunt scheme of the PKF in which coaching camps are being organized in different schools and colleges of the country. Muhammad Jahangir (Black Belt five-Dan), supervised the camp and Fayyaz Feroze was the coach. More than 150 girls participated in the camp in which the players were taught the basic techniques of karate, kihon, kata and kumite. The best players of the Coaching Camp are as under: Seniors: Ayesha Khan, Meamoona Qadeer, Zainab Khalid, Sara Mukhtar Juniors: Anza Ashraf, Hunaiza Hanif, Aqsa Hameed, Tayyaba Naeem The PKF also conducted belt examination of the players participated in the coaching camp. In all 96 players passed the test in which 55 players qualified for Yellow Belt, 20 for Pink and 21 for Grey belt. Mrs Doctor Nasreen Akhter, Principal Queen Mary School and College, Lahore awarded the certificates to the players.
