LAHORE - The PPP’s central Punjab President, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo has appointed Jehan Ara Wattoo as the head of the social media cell located at the party secretariat, Model Town, Lahore.
It will serve as a focal entity for disseminating information of the party activities for the consumption of people at large and also maintain contacts with its branches set up at all the districts party head offices. Jehan Ara Wattoo contested the last election of the Provincial Assembly on general seat and secured more than eighteen thousands votes and was placed in the second position by virtue of the results.
Jehan Ara Wattoo also played an active role in the campaign against the Council of Islamic Ideology’s recommendations regarding child marriage and second marriage. A signature campaign against the recommendations was spearheaded by her.
