LAHORE – PML-Q leader in Punjab Assembly Ch Zaheer-ud-Din calling Local Government Act Draft’s Article 27 sub section 1, clause (m) as controversial demanded its removal before bringing the draft in the provincial assembly for debate.
He added as the mentioned sub section of the Article 27 relates to hold the local bodies’ polls on non-party basis and claimed that provincial cabinet’s approval of the article was illegal.
He expressed these views while talking to the media at Muslim League House on Saturday. Zaheer maintained that the government did not provide the opposition an opportunity to present its proposals on any issue and warned that the opposition would give a tough time to the treasury.
