CJ names 10 new LHC judges

LAHORE: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik on Saturday proposed ten names to Judicial Commission for further procedure in order to fill vacancies of judges in LHC.
Presently 49 judges are working in the high court against the constitutionally sanctioned strength of 60.
Sources said the names of two district and sessions judges, Sardar Ahmad Naeem and Mushtaq Ahmad Tarar, were included among eight from bar which were forwarded to the judicial commission. Others include Additional Advocate General Shahid Mobeen, advocates Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry, Iram Sajjad Gull, Shahid Mahmood Sheikh, Farrukh Gulzar, Sarfraz Dogar, Aslam Javed and Shahid Mahmood Abbasi.–Staff Reporter
