LAHORE - Renowned transport company, Daewoo Pakistan Express Bus Service Ltd, in collaboration with Defence Housing Authority Lahore, has initiated a project of setting up international standard transport facilities and other amenities for residents of DHA and surrounding areas.
The project comprises three distinct facilities: Inter-city express bus service operating directly to and from DHA Lahore; DHA local bus service running within DHA and touching its periphery; and construction of a state-of-the-art bus terminal-cum-shopping mall in DHA Phase-5.
The first part of the project was inaugurated on September 22 with the start of bus operations from Daewoo’s 2nd Terminal in Lahore (DHA Phase-5). In an impressive inauguration ceremony in DHA Lahore, the Chief Guest, Lt Gen Naveed Zaman, HI (M), President DHA Lahore & Commander 4 Corps, praised the managements of both Daewoo Express and DHA Lahore.
Guest of honour Dr Jong Hwan Song, the Ambassador of Republic of Korea, while addressing the gathering, stressed the need for developing transport infrastructure and appreciated the initiative jointly taken by Daewoo Express & DHA on these lines.–PR
