LHC seeks NAB reply in Qasim Zia case

LAHORE - The Lahore High Court on Wednesday gave last chance to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to submit its reply on a petition filed by PPP leader Qasim Zia allegedly involved in stock exchange scandal. During the hearing, the NAB counsel pleaded the court for a short adjournment submitting that he needed more time to present case records. The bench allowed his request and observed it would decide the case on next hearing. Next hearing has been set on Sept 7. The petitioner, in his bail petition, had submitted that he had left the company, Ali Usman Brokerage, seven years before it committed the alleged fraud.
“Mr Qasim Zia has been politically victimised,” the counsel said.
