PML-N government tenure matchless, says Shahbaz

LAHORE – Former Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that his government undertook unprecedented development projects to bring improvement in every sphere of life.
Talking to the party senators and former legislators on Wednesday, Shahbaz Sharif said completion of the mega projects in education, communication and other social sectors, was not possible without cooperation and help by the party legislators.
He said it was unique in the provincial history that 81,000 teachers, 50,000 fresh graduates, and 25,000 police persons were inducted into the government service purely on merit basis.
Shahbaz said it was not less than a revolution that in the way of promoting education and improving standard of the education, his government equipped 2.10 lakh brilliant students with laptops, awarded scholarship to 50,000 students under the PEF and distributed two lakh solar lamps among them.
The PML-N leader said his government established 16 Daanish Schools to provide high standard education to the brilliant students of the less developed districts so that they also come at par with others.  The former CM said merit and transparency had been the hallmark of his government which laid the foundation of a new culture in the society. He said the PML-N candidates are going to the election field with the success stories of their government in Punjab while their rivals are totally empty handed.
