Aiwan gets water plant

LAHORE  - Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar inaugurated a water filtration plant on the premises of Aiwan-i-Karkunaan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan on Thursday.
The plant was donated by the governor from his own pocket to provide clean water to hundreds of students and teachers who visited the Aiwan-i-Karkunaan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan to gain education of ideology of Pakistan, life and services of our national heroes and the Pakistan Movement workers.
A galaxy of political and intellectual personalities was present on the occasion including NPT Chairman and The Nation Editor-in-Chief Dr Majid Nizami, Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad, Pir Syed Kabir Ali Shah, Mian Farooq Altaf, Zia Shahid, Maj-Gen (r) Rahat Latif, Dr Ajmal Niazi, Col (r) Amjad Hussain Sayyed, Ch Naeem Hussain Chattha, Mian Ibrahim Tahir, Col (r) Ikram Ullah, Begum Mehnaz Rafi, Shahid Rashid, Prof Dr Parveen Khan, Begum Surayya Khurshid, Asar Chohan, Dr MA Soofi, MA Shaida Advocate, Zulfikar Rahat, Riaz Fatiyana, Dr Yaqub Zia, Mirza Sadiq Jaral.
At the end, Pir Syed Kabir Ali Shah led the prayers for the health and long life of the originator of this noble task, the Punjab governor. The water filtration plant would certainly improve the health index, the participants opined.
