LAHORE - Punjab Health Department and District Government Muzaffargarh have signed an agreement for construction of 500-beded Tayyip Erdogan Hospital Muzaffargarh.
Punjab government will provide land and initially an amount of Rs 300 million. A medical college will also be constructed along with the hospital. Later, Rs 2 billion will be provided for this project under a phased programme.
Agreement was signed at a ceremony at Chief Minister’s Office on Saturday. Spokesman Punjab government Zaeem Qadri, Tayyip Erdogan Hospital Trust Chairman Mian Ahsan, Senior Member Board of Revenue Nadeem Ashraf, Chairman P&D Irfan Elahi, Secretary Health Jawad Rafiq Malik, Secretary Local Government Khalid Masood, Secretary Finance, Adviser to Trust Dr Nauman were also present.
Addressing the ceremony, Zaeem Qadri said that best friendly relations existed between Pakistan and Turkey. He said that on the instruction of CM, Punjab government would provide all resources for the construction of this hospital.
Mian Ahsan said that that standard of this hospital would not be less than any other big hospital of the country. He said that Tayyip Erdogan Hospital Trust would look after the construction work and other affairs.
