LAHORE - Teaching hospitals in Punjab have started denying admission to graduates of other medical colleges in post graduate residency programmes, reviving past routine of giving priority to own graduates. As per the sources, teaching hospitals have apologized from the graduates of other medical colleges. Services Hospital has inducted graduates of Services Institute of Medical Sciences only, Jinnah Hospital that of Allama Iqbal Medical College and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has inducted Fatima Jinnah Medical College graduates in PG Residency Programme. Final list for PG training has yet to be displayed in King Edward Medical University. The Young Kemcolian Forum has appealed to the  KEMU VC to revise the previous anti kemcolian policy and give preference to own graduates like the other teaching hospitals.
Visit
A delegation of Bio-medical Equipment Manufacturing Chinese Company “Mindry” led by its Managing Director Yinghong Zheng which is currently on the visit of Lahore called on Secretary Health Punjab Hassan Iqbal on Wednesday. Various aspects of cooperation between Health Department and Chinese Company were considered. Chinese Company would send consultants to evaluate the requirements of medical equipments and the cooperation between Health Department and Chinese Company would continue in future as well.
