LAHORE – Two bodies of unidentified youths were recovered from different areas of the Punjab Capital on Thursday. According to the details, a beheaded body of a 30-year-old youth was recovered from drain in Shafiqabad police area. Police after being informed reached the spot and recovered the beheaded body but tightened with ropes. Police investigators said the youth was killed relentlessly by unknown culprits under mysterious circumstances. The body was in brown shalwar qameez. Similarly, a body of another youth, yet to be identified, was also recovered from Rohi drain near Gajumata Stop in Kahna police precincts. Police have shifted the body to the City morgue for autopsy. An on duty police officer said the youth was tortured to death somewhere else but his body was placed to dodge the policemen. Further investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, batteries and valuables worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes in Iqbal Town police area on Thursday. Rescue officials said the fire erupted on second floor of a building located near Bhatta Chowk. The fire was extinguished timely. No loss of life was reported. Meanwhile, the fear gripped the event of the Pak-India Trade Seminary at the CM Secretariat when explosion took place due to short circuiting on Thursday, a local TV reported. According to the TV sources, seconds before the arrival of the Chief Minister at the office, explosion took place, which led the participants to have fear of bomb blasting.
