Resolution against Altaf submitted in PA

LAHORE: Parliamentary leader of Jamate-e-Islami in Punjab Assembly, Dr Wasim Akhtar on Sunday submitted a resolution in the Assembly secretariat demanding of the federal government to take notice of anti-army speeches of MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
In the text of the resolution, it has been stated that MQM should be banned as political organization to prevent it from implementing its fascist agenda. The resolution has also called for extradition of Altaf Hussain from UK and initiation of case against him under articles 6 of the constitution.
As per sources, the resolution is less likely to be taken up by the Assembly in its present form as the PPP and the PML-N would not support its part demanding ban on the MQM and its chief’s prosecution under Article 6.–Staff Reporter

The PTI would, however, support the resolution as its leadership is already making such demands.
