LAHORE – Punjab University students have shown outstanding performance in various intervarsity Qiraat, painting, photography and debate competitions held under the Punjab Youth Festival and have clinched top positions.
In divisional round of Punjab Chief Minister Debate Competition 2012 (graduate / postgraduate level), Salman Tariq of the College of Information Technology stood first, while Hamza Tarrar of the Institute of Business Administration stood third in Urdu debate. In English debate competition, Shajjar Abbas of the Institute of Communication Studies stood first.
In Qiraat competition, Muhammad Tayyab of the Institute of Communication Studies stood first, while Ammar Asim of Law College stood second. In painting, Naveed Hussain and Saba Islam of the College of Art and Design stood first and second, respectively. In thematic photography competition, Ali Ahmed of the College of Art and Design stood first, while Kashf Shah of the Institute of Business Administration stood second. In photo essay competition, Hasnain Mehmood of the College of Art and Design stood first.
Meanwhile, the Punjab University Examinations Department on Saturday issued the schedule for submission of admission forms and fee for MSc Home Economics, Part-I and Part-II, Annual Examination 2012.
The last date for submission of admission forms with single fee is November 20, while the forms can be submitted with double fee until November 27. The commencement dates of MSc Home Economics, Part-I and Part-II, Annual Examination 2012 will be announced later.
Also, the Punjab University Examinations Department on Saturday issued the written examination date sheets of LLB, Part-I, Part-II and Part-III, Supplementary Examination 2012. According to details, LLB, Part-I examination will commence from November 20, Part-II examination from November 21 and Part-III examination from November 22, 2012.
