Delivery at Lady Willingdon Hospital stairs

LAHORE - Woman gave birth to a baby girl on stairs of Lady Willingdon Hospital yesterday after doctors denied her admission for ‘not fulfilling procedure’.
Referred by THO Hospital Sharaqpur, Reshman w/o Ghulam Murtaza, reached Lady Willingdon Hospital at 11:00 am. Callous doctors and nurses denied her admission for not having hospital card.
While her family members were going from one room to the other for getting admission card, Reshman gave birth to a baby girl on stairs at around 11:30am. Hospital administration admitted the newborn to nursery and mother to the general ward two hours after the delivery.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and directed the administration to submit report within two days.
Despite several attempts, Medical superintendent Dr Zafar Yousaf was not available for comments.
