LAHORE  - Two persons died while 10 others wounded seriously in rain-related accidents in different parts of the provincial metropolis on Wednesday, police and rescue workers said. A woman was killed while her brother wounded critically when the motorcycle, they were riding on, rammed into a footpath during downpour in Lower Mall. The woman, identified as Asma Bibi, died on the spot while her brother Amir was rushed to hospital in serious condition. In another incident, a man was electrocuted at his house in Nawan Kot. Muhammad Ishtiaq received electric shocks as he touched the water pump during rain. He was rushed to a hospital where he died later. Also, three people were wounded seriously when their car smashed into a roadside tree in Race Course. Another three persons wounded when the hoarding and signboards collapsed on them in Johar Town and Civil Lines areas amid downpour. Meanwhile, five persons were wounded when the rooftops of their houses collapsed on them during heavy rain in Manga Mandi and Chuhng areas.
